March Comedy Show at the Old Court Room

Friday 31st March is the first Old Court Room Comedy Night of 2023.

Another fantastic line up sees some of the very best on the circuit here in Rochdale.

Start time is 8:30pm and doors open at 7:45pm

Aaron Wood

Aaron has hit the ground running since starting his comedy career.

In a short space of time, he has been Tour support for Tom Stade and Ignacio Lopez and was also a runner up in the Chester New Comedian Of The Year Competition.

He has been described as ‘talent way beyond his time on the circuit’ for his ability to combine natural stage presence with original, relatable material.

His laid back, affable nature has helped him become an exciting act with a bright future.

One to watch….

Hannah Silvester

West Midlands, based, Hannah is a regular on both the local and national circuits.

Her set combines frank and honest stand-up comedy with a warm delivery and the occasional comedy song thrown into the mix.

She’s a woman with a lot of attitudes, and a way of expressing it that is often hilariously blunt. She revels in her bad parenting, is withering about sexist behaviour, and frank about ageing.

She is also an accomplished children’s performer and a resident performer for Laughing Sole Comedy for Kids at the Midlands Arts Centre. She has performed comedy for kids at the Edinburgh Festival, Leicester Festival, Stroud Fringe and Glasgow Stand.

In 2015 Hannah performed her first solo hour show The Ballad of Hannah Silvester to a full venue and received great reviews at the Birmingham Comedy Festival.

In 2018 and 2019 she performed her sell-out shows at the Leicester Comedy Festival.

She was the winner of the Midlands Comedy Awards Breakthrough Act 2014, and that same year became a finalist in both the Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award and the Nottingham Comedy Festival Comedian of The Year.

Charlie Lewis

Northwest Based Charlie is regularly on the comedy circuit, with a one liner delivery that will leave you laughing.

Charlie is an upcoming comedian with proper jokes. “Witty one-liners. Destined for stardom” – Smacked A*se Comedy.

Justina Seselskaite

Justina maybe new to the comedy circuit but she is leaving waves of laughter and gaining awards, based in Manchester, Justina has won the BCG Pro Talent Awards: Performance 2021 final.

Nina Gilligan

Award Winning Comedian Nina Gilligan exploded on to the comedy scene in 2011 and is now a regular on the UK circuit performing at clubs and venues all over the UK in stand up and as MC.

In 2021 Nina was the winner of the prestigious national live comedy competition – Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award. Nina is in illustrious company as previous winners include Jason Manford, Jonny Vegas, Rhod Gilbert, Josh Widdicombe and Romesh Ranganathan

Described as a bolshier Mrs Merton, she’s not one to suffer fools lightly so watch out for a razor-sharp wit used at will. Her act will leave you shouting for more! Sometimes outrageous, always hilarious, observational and storytelling comedy for all. See Nina, Love Nina and never forget her.
