I must start this blog by thanking everyone for turning up and making the day what is was, we were in awe at the turn out and the vibrant ambience you all brought for the day/evening.
The day began with a great turn of events, instead of the reported torrential rain we were blessed with clear skies and warm breezes.
Milnrow Band kick started the day off performing brass with a twist, all the classical instruments paired with a lovely touch of modern day pop. The crowd participated in a upbeat sing-song which just joyful to hear.
Simultaneously was the long-awaited WW2 Spitfire flyover, the fabulous twist and turns was enough to turn a few heads. Keep your eyes peeled as we may bring this back next year with an added touch.
Leah Fisher - wahoo! What more does a girl need other than her guitar? She hit every note with class and kept everybody entertained, she truly had a song for anyone and everyone. Thank you very much for contributing towards a special day.
Followed was the Classical Rock Revival, Juan Direction and Stax of Soul, the booze kicked in and the boogying really began! Each act were fabulous, rocking the face paint off the kids and event goers out of their camping chairs. A brilliant sight to see. Thankyou for helping make the day what it was.
Amongst all the partying, delicious food and drink were being served by local stalls, such as Bombay Brew, Hassan's Yankeeshire Diner, Vicolos Pizza etc, they kept up with demand speedily and received nothing but positive reviews.
It seems as though we were lucky enough to receive not one but two of the best tribute acts many of us have ever seen! From their stage presence, mannerisms and energy, both JK As Robbie and MJ The Legacy finished the night off spectacularly! The crowd matched their energy 10 times over, to the point we nearly struggled to get people to leave afterwards.
Many pictures and videos will soon follow, we hope you all enjoyed the event as much as we did and cheers to bigger and (somehow) better next year!
