In celebration of HM Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee the world famous Black Dyke Band will provide you a scintillating evening with thrilling film scores, toe tapping big band music and patriotic favourites to celebrate the reign of Her Majesty.

The Black Dyke Band will be joined on stage by Wardle Junior Blast, a youth band made up of young brass players from primary schools across Wardle and Littleborough.

The concert will conclude with all your favourites from the Last Night of the Proms. Guiding us through all the songs will be professional opera singer Tom Smith. Tom will also sing 2 songs with Black Dyke Band including 'Nessun Dorma'.

Black Dyke are not your 'traditional' brass band as they have toured USA, Australia and Europe with the likes of Elton John and The Beatles, as well as being the first brass band to perform on the pyramid stage at Glastonbury in 2017! They have been described as the most famous brass brand in the world and we have the honour of having them perform at Champness Hall, Drake Street, Rochdale OL16 1NZ.

This will not be a night to be missed! Please join us on the 2nd of June 2022, from 6:30pm for a sensational celebration. Tickets prices are: Adults £14, Concessions £12 Children/Students £5. Which are all available at www.whatsoccurrinrochdale.co.uk

Experience the uplifting sounds of a tradtional brass band in the 21st century, we guarantee you will not leave disappointed.

Following the huge success, rave reviews and sell-out performances of Legally Blonde The Musical in October 2021, Rochdale Musical Theatre Company are excited to announce their next production, 'The Producers'! TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW for this hit Broadway musical comedy which is set to open at the magnificent Champness Hall in Rochdale Town Centre from 12th - 21st May 2022. This laugh-out-loud all singing, all dancing comedy is the perfect remedy for those who have been longing for a night out at the theatre. You may be familiar with the film version of The Producers - Mel Brooks' classic 1967 cult comedy starring Gene Wilder, or more recently, the 2005 remake starring Will Ferrell, Matthew Broderick and Uma Thurman. As a big Broadway musical, The Producers set the standard for modern, outrageous, in-your-face humour, winning a record twelve Tony Awards. So, what’s the plot? A down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered, nervous accountant come up with a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history thereby swindling their backers (all "little old ladies") out of millions of dollars. Only one thing goes awry: the show is a smash hit! The show follows the antics of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom as they manoeuvre their way fecklessly through finding a show (the gloriously offensive "Springtime For Hitler"), hiring a director, raising the money and finally going to prison for their misdeeds. At the core of the insanely funny adventure is a poignant emotional journey of two very different men who become friends. With a truly hysterical book co-written by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan (known for Annie and Hairspray) and music and lyrics by Mr. Brooks, The Producers definitely isn't one to miss! So, what are you waiting for? Get your family and friends together for a spectacular night of music and laughter and show your support for local theatre. The Producers runs from 12th - 21st May 2022 at Champness Hall, Drake Street, Rochdale. Tickets £16, available now at: www.whatsoccurrinrochdale.co.uk Other enquiries (inc disabled/wheelchair access): 01706 643543
