O what a night - Bombay Bingo

Updated: Dec 8, 2021

To say this was a successful night would be an understatement! We could not be more thankful for the support we have received both on the night and the positive feedback we have had since!

The night began rather civilised with a complimentary shot on arrival, followed by a two course meal provided by the fabulous Bombay Brew! After a nice easing into the night, the fun really began. Let this be clear, Bombay Bingo is not your average, quiet, dobbing game - in fact, it is quite the opposite.

Of course there is your traditional one line, full house winnings, however, the atmosphere consisted of blaring golden oldies, everyone dancing and singing their hearts out at their tables. The hosts, Chris and Martin engaged comically with the crowd, bringing a smile to everyone's face, for example if an inaccurate 'bingo' was yelled, you should expect to be boo'd for the foreseeable.

You must be ready to grasp the attention of the hosts to get your winnings, whilst the one line prizes gained you something from the trash trolley, the full house winnings consisted of the winner making their way up to the stage and receiving any prize ranging from an Amazon Echo, slow cooker, hairdryer and even £50 gift vouchers.

Once all the bingo games had been completed, the 'mini games' then began, including a game 'lick my bauble' where 3 participants had to one chance to lick the flavouring off 3 baubles to guess what picture was hidden underneath, the winner must have made his 11:11 wish as he won each round!

The night ended with the band: The Shenanigans, performing a few songs live with their instruments which got the entire crowd up on their feet, a brilliant end to a quality night.

A special thanks to the staff from Bombay Brew, the hosts Chris and Martin and the Shenanigans! See you next year when we’re back at the Champness Hall for the next instalment of Bombay Bingo on the 3rd December! Tickets are on sale now at www.whatsoccurrinrochdale.co.uk/tickets
